Disassembly report: XGIMI 45W DC power adapter HKA04519523-XA
Preface
I found a power adapter for XGIMI projector on the Charging Head website. This adapter comes with replaceable folding pins, which is easy to carry when going out, and it is also convenient to replace the pins of different countries. The adapter comes with a 1.8-meter-long output line, the output specification is 19.5V2.3A, and the output power is 45W. This power adapter is manufactured by Huntkey and is equipped with a power indicator light to facilitate understanding of the power supply status. Let’s take a look at the disassembly of this power adapter and take a look at the internal design and materials.
XGIMI 45W power adapter appearance
The XGIMI 45W power adapter comes with its own pin module and output cable. The fuselage is designed in a square shape, and the edges on both sides are chamfered, making the fuselage look like it has legs, making the whole body very recognizable.
There is an indicator light on the front corner of the fuselage, and the pin module is removable.
When powered on, the indicator light lights up blue.

XGIMI 45W power adapter disassembly
After looking at the appearance of this power adapter, let’s disassemble it and take a look at the internal materials.
First disassemble the adapter shell along the seams of the fuselage.
The wires are soldered to the socket module.
The other end is welded to the PCBA module and reinforced with glue.
The output leads are also connected via soldering.
The front of the PCBA module is wrapped with aluminum heat sinks.
The back of the PCBA module is also wrapped with aluminum heat sinks.
The heat sinks are fixed by snap connections.
Disassemble the heat sink outside the power supply PCBA module, and fill the internal transformer and other components with the heat sink with glue for heat conduction.
The length of the PCBA module measured using a vernier caliper is approximately 54.7mm.
PCBA module width is approximately 53.7mm.
PCBA module thickness is approximately 21mm.
Clean off the glue on the front and back of the PCBA module. The upper right corner is the AC input terminal. Weld the fuse, common mode inductor, and safety X2 capacitor. The heat sink on the left fixes the switching tube, and the high-voltage filter capacitor is on the right. Below the capacitor are the transformer, Schottky rectifier and output filter capacitor.
The rectifier bridge, primary main control chip and feedback optocoupler are welded on the back of the PCBA module.
Weld the fuse, common mode inductor, and primary switch heat sink at the input end.
The input fuse specification is 3.15A 250V.
The common mode inductor jacket is insulated with heat shrink tubing.
Peel off the heat shrink tube, and the common mode inductor is wound with enameled wire and insulated wire.
The safety X2 capacitor comes from HJC Huarong, and the specification is 0.22μF.
The other common mode inductor is wound with enameled wire.
The rectifier bridge is from Pingwei, model DBL207S, specification is 2A 1000V.
At a glance from the side of the PCBA module, there are welded rectifiers, blue Y capacitors, main control chip power supply capacitors and high-voltage filter capacitors.
High-voltage filter capacitors are insulated with adhesive tape.
The high-voltage filter capacitor is from ruby and has a specification of 400V82μF.
The primary main control chip is screen printed 09=30E and packaged in SOT23.
The filter capacitor that supplies power to the main control chip comes from Jinfukang, with a specification of 4.7μF50V.
The primary switch tube is fixed on the heat sink with screws.
The primary switch tube is from Magna, model MDF11N60. It is an NMOS with a voltage resistance of 600V, a conduction resistance of 450mΩ, and a TO220 package.
The transformer is manufactured by Huntkey, and the magnetic core is tightly wrapped with tape for insulation.
The blue Y capacitor is from Nanfang Hongming.
Everlight EL 1019 optocoupler is used for output voltage feedback.
The output rectifier tube is fixed on the heat sink with screws.
The rectifier is from PY Pingwei, model MBR20100LCT. It is a 100V withstand voltage, 20A Schottky diode, and is packaged in TO220.
The output filter capacitor is from ruby, which is a ZLH series long-life electrolytic capacitor with a specification of 25V 680μF.
A SMD LED light is welded on the back of the PCBA module for output indication.
